Cambridgeshire RIPE MARKET – This week, all the delicious fruit and vegetables that our children have been learning about came to life at the Cambridgeshire farmers market! Ran by our very own Cambridgeshire scarecrow, the children were spoilt for choice with eggs, milk, yoghurts and every fruit and vegetable imaginable! All for under 20 dirhams! Bargain!
This was a fantastic activity for the children’s communication and language AND personal, social and emotional development as they each took it in turns to sell and buy the different items! They also developed their understanding of the world as they experienced how we interact in our community supermarket! Using their fine motor skills to grip the different items and place them into their basket, it was brilliant to see the children developing their mathematics skills as they
each counted out the number of items they had :-0 so many wonderful benefits all while having FUN!
